May, 21-23, 23-28, 2012 - FOSS4G-CEE & Geoinformatic Conference + GRASS Community Sprint (Prague, CZ): the FOSS4G & Geinformatics Conference will take place in Prague (CZ) this May, on the footsteps of its World's uncle FOSS4G, FOSS4G-CEE is aimed to make all European Open Source GIS-Researcher working together in many different fields of application of GIS, not only "maps" but architecture, robotics, education, database, literature and web applications. Following the Conference in the same location will take place the 2nd GRASS Community Sprint, this meeting is really infromal and it's aimed to bugfixing GRASS GIS, improve new features for the Software and decide what will be the future research and develope lines of the project. This year only two of all the intesting topics will be "GRASS GIS on Android" and "Spatio-Temporal analyses in GRASS GIS"
September, 3-11, 2012 - GEOSTAT Summer School, Muenster (DE): the 2012 edition of GEOSTAT Summer School will be held in Muenster (Germany). The annual Summer School is a very good occasion to enforce the competencies in terms of Geo-Statistical analyses and this year it focuses on spatio-temporal modeling of phenomena. So a part will be dedicated to Open Source GIS, a part will be dedicated to Statistical analyses and the interaction of these two topics.
