Research subjects.

  • Real Analysis: some properties of Jordan variation, second-order seminorms, approximation formulas for the lenght, area and Serrin integral of Calculus of Variation with area-type integrand.
  • Differential Equations: existence theorems for multivalued differential equations with constraints, in Banach spaces.
  • Nonlinear Analysis: minimax and fixed point theorems for multifunctions defined on topological spaces. Best approximation theorems of Ky Fan type.
  • Approximation Theory: integral operators and their approximation properties in modular function spaces (in particular Orlicz, Musielak-Orlicz and BV spaces). Degree of approximation in modular Lipschitz classes. Integral operators and convergence in lenght, area and variation. Applications to discrete operators, in particular sampling operators (linear or not) for econstruction and prediction of signals. Application of modular spaces to Ergodic Theory. Application to fractional integration. Integro-differential operators on Orlicz-Sobolev spaces. Estimates of the pointwise convergence for nets of integral or discrete operators. Asymptotic formulae of Voronovskaya type
